Confusion about Prince Willem-Alexander's shrimp

During a speech in Mexico about sustainable energy, prince Willem-Alexander (or rather, his Argentinian translator) made an embarrassing translation mistake. He said:

Let me conclude by giving you a Mexican proverb. "Cámaron que se duerme se lo lleva la chingada", or in English: "a shrimp that sleeps gets carried by the tide."

Okay, so I've been sort of teaching my mom how to use Facebook. I think she's starting to understand it and get more confident. A while ago, we explored the "Search" function. She was looking up old classmates, old friends....and old boyfriends. It didn't occur to me to warn her to be careful who she looks for, she just might find them.

She actually did find an old boyfriend from junior high. She debated for a while whether or not to send a friend...

With watching someone you love, a b/f in my case, die right before you after 6-8 hours of grueling pain. I ranaway for a few days to my mom's. They gave me the week off of work. Everyone had known what had been going on. He was on dialysis and was diabetic. All that put pressure on his heart because of the high blood sugar which was 858 and his potassium was at 6.8. At 9:30 in the morning I go to court for what I hope will be the final hearing on my divorce. I'm going for sole custody which is only granted under extraordinary circumstances. Since she's only seen the children once since I filed, my lawyer thinks that should be a breeze.

It's hard to believe it's like winter in much of the country when it's been like summer here.

I looked at the current temperature map and it's unreal how cold it is in the middle of the country.

I found this guy on You Tube who reviews toys from the past and present and he points out some rather interesting aspects of what are otherwise innocent toys that many children play with.

The first one is a little baby play piano.

He shows what seem to be some explicit terms that you hear when playing certain combinations of the keys.

My little niece has one of these.

I've been seeing commercials lately that tout their product's "taste." Campbell soups have more "taste." Some beer is "less filling, more taste."

Food and drink don't have "taste", they have FLAVOR.

My senior English professor described it in simple terms: "food has flavor, people have taste."
