So I was inspired by Nobody Nose and decided instead of waiting for the boys who have both been working a lot I'd mow the lawn myself. I dragged it out
there, started it, got three strips done and ran out of gas.......and the baby is no longer napping but atleast I tried dammit.

Oh I loved mowing lawn...like mowing hay too...it smells so clean and fresh. Used to mow law barefoot, of course the green feet weren't too attractive but
what the heck...I mowed my 10 acre yard and walked every bit of it for years. My only problem is I had two choices of time to do it...early morning and mid
evening...redheads burn and oh lordy does it hurt.
I miss my yard...it was nice out there at the end of the dead end road. |

We've got a self propelled push mower, commercial quality weedeater, 48" riding lawn mower, and access to a 6 foot mower deck to put on our three
point hitch on the tractor.
We've got a bit of lawns to mow and not a lot of time to get around to it. The last time I got on the rider it nearly choked to death on the grass it was so tall and wet. I don't mind mowing if I don't have something else to do but I don't love it all that much. We got a great deal on the rider. Friends got divorced and sold their house. They didn't need the mower and gave it to us. It needed air in one tire and a new battery so the total cost was $20. It came with a brand new Carhartt jacket in my size too. |

It's great when it happens to someone else. Actually theirs was pretty low key. They'd drifted apart over many years, quit sleeping in the same bed
like 5 years previous, and finally one of them decided to move on and make it official.
