That's not impossible to understand; after all, no shots were fired, no crime was committed, and no one is even sure what crime would have been committed had a weapon not been drawn.So, your statement that more than 1000 lives were saved is total BS. If you dont have hard facts then just keep your mouth shut. I unfortunately have solid facts in the form of corpses....
Im not saying there arent people out there that have used a gun in a way that saved lives. What I am saying is that the carnage these death tools create are not worth it.
As far as the suicide argument from before, I would have to argue that guns make successful suicides more common. Many people who attempt and are saved do not attempt again. I am too lazy and stoned atm to google it, but feel free. Again, I support the right for people to take their own life, particularly if they are conservatives, but I think we can agree a moment of emotional distress could make the best of us do something rash...
