I've just finished jury duty. We watched two days of testimony and deliberated for less than an hour. We'd have been done deliberating sooner had there not been so many charges. He was guilty as sin.

The guy was charged with attempt to manufacture and produce a controlled substance, production of a controlled substance, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia for the production of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamineand possession of paraphernalia for the ingestion of methamphetamine. The only reason he wasn't charged with sale of a controlled substance was , as near as I can tell, because he was such a bad cook that he could only produce enough for a small circle of acquaintances who bought ingredients in exchange for dope.

Everyone I've ever talked to always has suggestions as to how to avoid jury duty and encourages avoiding it. I don't know why. I thought it was a very interesting and fulfilling experience. I'd do it again.
