Sorry I've been MIA for a while....real life kinda stepped in and took over.
Anyway, for a while (just shy of a year, I'd say), I was working at the Battered Women's Shelter in cincinnati. A month ago, I received a promotion to Case Manager at the Transitional Living Program. I'm working with women who are transitioning from the battered women's shelter into permanent housing. It's tough!
I also have a second job, stock associate at Ann Taylor Loft. The work is great (especially after my full-time job!!) and the perks kick-ass. I highly recommend stock to anyone considering a second job. Or really, anyone with anger management/stress issues.
And, I'm looking to buy a house. I met with my mortage lender back in February, but then I totalled my car (I'm perfectly fine, just a bruised ego and I miss my Saturn) so I had to buy a new one. '05 Ford Focus hatchback. It's a boring, adult-type car. And then I had to pay over $1500 in federal taxes because I took (my) money out of my IRA too early. *sigh* But I've recouped much of my losses so I'm back in the housing market. I want to take advantage before they fix the system and get all strict and shit. Now they're practically begging people to buy houses, and I like that.
So anyway, that's my story. I've missed you guys!!
