They are in the politics game. Not noted for courage or truthfulness. But in this case they are also being loyal to republicans in not wanting to be on the record bad mouthing the crazy idiot Palin. They saw the disaster she was and don't think she has a chance. One would hope if the situation was different they'd have a sense of country and be more out front.along with the fact that they were reluctant to criticize the idiot Palin on the record.Gee, why could that possibly be? If she's as stupid and crazy as you say, they have absolutely nothing to fear by simply telling the truth. In fact, they have an obligation to warn people of her apparent psychological issues and her worrisome lack of intelligence. The only logical conclusion is that these "off the record" statements are the words of cowards or liars...or both.
