I'll restate what I was asking with much more specificity...

A fetus, post-viability, is physically identical to other human beings who are born and are pretty indisputably entitled to their right to life. Now, you indicated that you don't, personally, believe that the fetus' disability is a good reason to kill him or her. Why is it that you believe that the viable fetus is not entitled to the same right to live as his or her basically identical counterpart who happened to have been born prematurely? And do you believe that all late-term abortions should be legal, even without any medical reason, up to the point of the baby's birth? If not, why does the fetus' disability make his or her killing permissible? In answering this question, please address why it is permissible to kill a viable fetus on account of his or her disability, but not a teenager.

This is one of those stupid arguments that gets repeated so often that people start to buy into it. I can't think of a single solitary person I know who NEVER supports legislating their personal beliefs. Do you support the Civil Rights Act, for example?

If so, why is it that you have no problem legislating your belief that a private company shouldn't discriminate in its employment practices, and yet are suddenly outraged by the suggestion that your beliefs should be legislated when the life of a human being is at stake? (and remember, we're talking about a fetus POST-VIABILITY, so it's pretty much physically identical to born babies out there.)
